Distilled in 1998 and bottled 11 years later, this single cask Ardbeg produced 270 bottles. The nose reveals a distinctly medicinal and iodine-laden character, reminiscent of wet coals, followed by pistachio ice cream and cappuccino. As it develops, notes of olives and onions emerge. On the palate, expect a combination of leather, liquorice, black cherry, spices, and crushed black pepper, leading to a finish marked by espresso and candle wax.
